On a rainy weekend, 16 & 17 April, a team of seven planted out a new crop of garlic. As we are certified organic (Biodynamic) we planted on a "root" day, two days before the full moon. This crop will be available for harvest in November 2011. The beds had previously been prepared -- rotary-hoed, with blood & bone, wood ash and crushed oyster shells worked through the soil. After the planting the two beds were heavily mulched.
